Who we are

Aracely Kriete

(Master of Science of Oriental Medicine, Licensed Acupuncturist)

In 1995 I started a four year training in Homeopathy, Chinese Medicine, Herbology, Irisdiagnosis and several other old European healing modalities at the Natural Medicine College in Berlin, Germany.I was fascinated by the philosophy, the logic and dynamic behind this comprehensive, ancient, medical system. For 8 years I worked in my own Acupuncture and Naturopathic clinic in Berlin as well as in cooperation with physiotherapists and M.D.s, combining Eastern and Western Medicine.

After moving to the US, I continued my education and deepened my knowledge about Chinese herbology and Japanese style acupuncture at the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley and founded Community Acupuncture Ukiah in 2010.

Specialty fields: Chinese Medicine Dermatology, Autoimmune Diseases, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Mood disorders.

Marie Galletta

(Master of Science of Oriental Medicine, Licensed Acupuncturist, CMT)

My journey to become an acupuncturist started as a quest for self-healing. In 2006, I struggled with a significant endocrine imbalance and acupuncture helped alleviate my symptoms. It was a natural extension of my healing journey to want to bring health and well-being to others.  In 2009, I became a Certified Massage Therapist and began my MSOM in acupuncture, at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude.  Since licensure, I have gained a wealth of experience, by treating hundreds of patients, and working within a diverse community of other practitioners.  I have worked in several community clinics throughout Sonoma County, as well as the Center for High Sport Performance at UC Berkeley, and the Jewish Community Free Clinic in Rohnert Park.  I primarily practice meridian based acupuncture, as taught by Master Tung and Dr. Richard Tan.  My two primary interests are resolving pain, and keeping this amazing healing modality available in my hometown!
