Who we are
Aracely Kriete (MSOM, LAc)
Growing up in nature and in a family that has always been committed to healing with natural remedies, I got interested in medicinal plants and naturopathy early in life. I entered the Natural Medicine College in Berlin after school for a four year training in homeopathy, Chinese Medicine, herbology, Irisdiagnosis and several other old European healing modalities.
It was there were I first entered the rich and deep realm of Chinese Medicine and steadily grew to love it. I was fascinated by the philosophy, the logic and dynamic behind this comprehensive ancient medical system and soon knew, this would be the medicine I wanted to practice. For 8 years I worked in my own Acupuncture and Naturopathic clinic in Berlin, in cooperation with physiotherapists and M.D.s as well as in Berlin’s first naturopathic healthcare Center that combines Eastern and Western Medicine.
Within the field of Acupuncture I got profoundly interested in Japanese-style- acupuncture, ear acupuncture and holistic pediatrics.
While exploring different kinds of healing modalities, I started practicing yoga and was intrigued to experience that yoga and acupuncture work so similarly. A few years later I studied to become a yoga instructor and started teaching kundalini yoga.
After moving to the US, I continued my education and deepened my knowledge about Chinese herbology and Japanese style acupuncture for three years at the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley.
Here I got introduced to the Community Acupuncture Model, that instantly resonated with me.
In my free time I enjoy seeing the fine arts or being creative myself, hiking and being out in nature, dancing, poetry and cooking Asian food.

I began my healing arts education in 1999 when I attended massage school in Colorado. I explored many different healing modalities such as reflexology, shiatsu, deep tissue, and pregnancy massage. I came back to California and began practicing massage at The Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. After being there for a couple of years I felt a need to help people on a deeper level. I decided to explore Chinese Medicine. I earned my Masters in Chinese Medicine at Santa Barbara School of Oriental Medicine, graduating in 2003. Since then I have been busy raising my two young children and learning about allergy elimination technique through NAET. In my spare time I like to play soccer, do yoga and be outdoors.
